NDIS Physiotherapy Townsville

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Townsville is the new way of providing individualised support for people with disability, their families and carers. The NDIS is insurance, which gives peace of mind. Disability can affect anyone and having the right support makes a big difference.

The NDIS provides eligible people a flexible, whole-of-life approach to the support they need to pursue their goals. It also fosters social inclusion and economic participation.

We are pleased to advise that TPM is a NDIS Registered Provider in Townsville Queensland.

NDIS – Physiotherapists can help live a more fulfilling life

Physiotherapists help people of all age groups and with different conditions. They help people take part in the community and become more independent.

Physiotherapists are often experts in treating children, young people and adults with a disability, heart and lung conditions, neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, and ageing and gender specific conditions.

Physiotherapists can help you, or the person you care for:

  • Getting out of bed
  • Taking a bath or shower, dressing and eating
  • Move around the home and outside the home
  • Do daily jobs, or sports and hobbies
  • Manage pain and chronic conditions
  • Lose weight
  • Choose and learn to use new equipment, like wheelchairs, walking frames and orthotics.

You may need short term care from a Physiotherapist, or care for a longer time to achieve your goals. Our physiotherapists put a plan together to help you now, and into the future.

Some health conditions need a number of health experts to work together. At TPM our Physiotherapists also work closely with our other in house health workers – Chiropractors, Podiatrists, and Exercise Physiologists. Together we can help you manage more complex needs.

Physiotherapy is very safe. It uses evidence and research, and Physiotherapists must also meet the same strict legal requirements to work, like your GP and nurses.

“Kristy is an NDIS patient and together with her carer they attend weekly Physiotherapy sessions. Kirsty’s goal for attending Physiotherapy is to develop life skills which will allow her to live a more independent life, weight loss, and to develop meaningful friendships. Kristy looks forward to her weekly appointments and comes extra early to make sure she gets quality time with Cuba and Honey, the two Therapy pugs before her session. Kristy brightens our day every time she enters the clinic. View Kristy in action.
