Start your physio career with the right people around you.
Townsville, QLD | Full-Time Physiotherapist
You’ve spent years studying to become a physio. However, your first year in practice should build confidence and clinical skills through mentors, not face a full caseload alone.
Additionally, the 2027 TPM New Grad Physio Program bridges the gap between university and clinical practice, providing mentoring, professional development and hands-on experience to help you become a confident, well-rounded physiotherapist.
At The Physio Movement (TPM), we’re big on developing great clinicians, and even better humans.
This isn’t just a new graduate job
Your first workplace can shape the clinician you become.
Furthermore, at TPM you’ll join an established multidisciplinary clinic where physiotherapists work alongside chiropractors, exercise physiologists and other health professionals.
As a result, you’ll have experienced clinicians around you to ask questions, discuss cases and continue developing your clinical reasoning.
Because as a new graduate, you’re not expected to know everything.
To begin with, you’re here to learn.
What your first year at TPM looks like
Structured mentoring
- You’ll have access to experienced physiotherapists who genuinely want to see you develop.
- Clinical reasoning, difficult cases, treatment planning, communication, exercise prescription — these are conversations we want you having.
- Weekly professional development
Learning doesn’t stop when university finishes.
In addition, our team maintains a culture of professional development, with opportunities to learn, discuss cases, and develop clinical skills.
A supported transition into private practice
We want you to build confidence and capability, not simply fill your diary.
Moreover, your development will be supported as you transition from student to independent practitioner and begin managing your own caseload.
Exposure to a broad caseload
You’ll have opportunities to work across:
- Musculoskeletal physiotherapy
- Sports injuries and rehabilitation
- Post-operative rehabilitation
- Strength and conditioning
- Exercise-based rehabilitation
- Return-to-sport programming
- Chronic and complex conditions
- Community and multidisciplinary healthcare
Our Townsville clinic combines clinical treatment with a dedicated rehabilitation and performance environment, allowing our clinicians to take patients from injury through to strength, movement and performance.
You’ll learn how to progress someone beyond simply being pain free and towards getting back to the things that matter to them.
Learn with a multidisciplinary team
As a result, you gain access to a range of health professionals when you begin at TPM.
Our collaborative model gives you the opportunity to learn from and work alongside clinicians across:
Physiotherapy | Chiropractic | Exercise Physiology | Rehabilitation | Strength & Conditioning
We encourage conversations between disciplines, shared learning and collaborative patient care.
Find the physio you want to become
You don’t need to have your entire career mapped out when you graduate.
~ Maybe you’re passionate about sport.
~ Maybe you love rehab.
~ Maybe you’re interested in strength and conditioning.
~ Maybe you don’t know yet, and that’s completely okay.
Your graduate year should give you exposure, experience and great mentors so you can discover where you want to take your career.
At TPM, we’re looking for people who want to keep learning and have the potential to grow with us long term.
