Growing up on a cane farm outside of Ayr, Rebecca’s passion for Allied Health stemmed from seeing a large gap in access to treatment between regional and remote areas.
Moving to Townsville in 2018, Rebecca completed her Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science (2020) and Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology (2022), both at James Cook University. During this time, she gained clinical experience in multidisciplinary settings and in the professional sporting world, interning for the NQ Cowboys and Townsville Blackhawks. Her main interests with treatment populations include mental health, and providing a service that promotes quality of life.
Prior to joining TPM, Rebecca’s experience included an array of conditions – musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and metabolic conditions. Rebecca’s previous role in Occupational Rehabilitation exposed her to return-to-work schemes (including state-based and national schemes), DVA, and ADF, as well as ergonomics.
Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys keeping active, painting, and traveling.
