Originally from the Philippines, Darren moved and grew up in Townsville and has completed all of his studies locally. Growing up around physical activity and sports such as basketball, netball and volleyball – this became his passion.
In 2022, Darren completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and through several clinical placements, volunteering and further shadowing – he was able to grow and develop his skills as a budding physiotherapist. During this period, he was able to acquire invaluable skills across different patient presentations and within different placement settings of hospital, rural, community and private practice. Most importantly, he learnt and understood the importance of client-centered care and goal-oriented therapy to his patients.
Outside of work, Darren enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as living an active lifestyle that consists of attending the gym, swimming and playing basketball.
In Darren’s new graduate year, he hopes to further refine his skills in the NDIS, musculoskeletal and sport setting.
Darren is eager to start his career as a physiotherapist with The Physio Movement family, grow and develop as a budding clinician amongst his colleagues, and provide holistic and equitable care to his patients.
