Who is Beat It for? 

People living with, or at risk of, diabetes or other chronic lifestyle conditions who want to increase their physical activity levels.

Whether you have exercised before or need some help getting started, TPM’s Beat It program tailors individual exercises to your specific needs within a friendly and supportive environment.

~ Exercise professionals tailor specific exercise programs to each individual based on your needs.

~ This program is run by exercise professionals who have undertaken training with Diabetes NSW & ACT.

The 8-week program includes:

  • An initial one-on-one assessment with an exercise professional
  • Exercise program tailored to your abilities and fitness levels
  • 16 group exercise sessions 
  • Education sessions on various healthy lifestyle topics
  • Tracking your progress
  • Final consultation.

How do you access the program? 

You may be able to obtain a Medicare referral from your GP to subsidise the cost of accessing the program.

Is there an age restriction on who can participate?

Anyone over the age of 18 can participate in the Beat It program. The program is designed to meet your personal needs and can be modified according to your current level of fitness and physical capabilities.
